Paul L. Giovannone, CDT

Paul is CEO of Biogenic Dental Corporation and its affiliates: Biogenic Dental Laboratories, Inc.; Biogenic Technical Instruction, LLC (BTI Laser); CNY Digital Design Center and Dental Engineering Corporation of America. Paul’s laboratory operations employ over 50 highly trained team members.

Paul opened BTI Laser in 1995; he has pioneered the use of laser technology in the dental laboratory industry, creating techniques for component laser assembly of implant support frames and superstructures. Paul shares his laser training and education knowledge with the Japanese dental laboratory industry, and develops laser welding products directly for Dr. Asami Tanaka’s companies in the United States and Japan, and for companies in Germany.

Recognized as a preferred speaker with the National Association of Dental Laboratories, Paul is also a featured presenter for Dr. Mark Murphy and the National Lab Network. Over 500 dental laboratories and more than 3000 dental technicians have attended his courses; he has lectured extensively to dentist and laboratory groups all across North America regarding materials, lasers, and the digital process.

Currently, Paul provides consulting for many dental laboratory material manufacturers on a multitude of dental laboratory products, processes, and procedures. He networks with dozens of dental laboratories each month, helping them to decipher new materials and their uses.

Paul has over thirty years’ dental laboratory experience as a technician, technical director, laboratory owner, and innovator in prostheses fabrication. His extensive knowledge of dental materials and handling is derived from a broad base of practical dental laboratory experiences. Paul has maintained Certification as a Dental Technologist through continuing education and teaching for over 25 years. He will share the drive behind the digital revolution with you, and show you how it combines with advances in material science to make today’s dental restorations and appliances more accurate, esthetic, and clinically sound than ever before in the history of dentistry.
